Outlook for 2009
In view of the measures already taken to limit and counter the negative impact of the crisis, the Group's primary objectives for 2009 are not only to increase its market share both in mature markets and those identified as strategic for growth but also to support its profitability.
A sweeping reorganization has been started for this purpose, making it possible to support investments, accelerate development, limit the future risks of inflationary pressures, overhaul organizational structure and generate cash flows.
The four areas of intervention identified are in brief:
- support and stimulus for the commercial network;
- excellence in sourcing and in the supply chain;
- optimization of costs;
- focus on capital employed.
